End of Season Letter from our Chairman
"There is no secret so close as that between a rider and his horse" - Surtees
Sadly we have not been able to thoroughly test this, over these past months.
Following the Prime Ministers four step roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions, we have no option other than to draw stumps for the season. Jake has kept hounds and horses ticking over in the hope that we might be able to snatch a few days at the end of lockdown, however, these plans have now been dashed.
I am sure you will all agree that Adam and Jake have had a challenging season and shown great perseverance. No opportunity was wasted to get out with some memorable days.
I would like to thank you all for the extraordinary support, both physical and financial, over the last 12 months. There is no shortage of ideas for the future with a team of enthusiastic volunteers
currently building a new valeting room.
Our hunt is well placed for next season. In the meantime, I look forward to our summer hunt rides and the opportunity to meet up again.
